Notes for Luella Velma JENKINS
Luella was small in stature and very active in many activities. She enjoyed redesigning their home on Myrtle St., wallpapering, sewing drapes, painting and working her flower gardens in their yard. She was an expert seamstress, taking orders in altering and sewing for others. Her grandchildren benefited from her making coats, dresses, pajamas, costumes for them. She made drapes for us,too. Sensitive in nature, her feelings suffered over the years through misunderstandings with family members and friends alike. After Nels died, she retired in an apartment in Bayport. until she had a mild heart attack and underwent her 2nd mascectomy. Her 1st took place in the 1940’s. Her pallbearers were: Duane Peterson, Stephen Peterson (Jackie’s Husband), Bruce Peterson and Dale Peterson. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Stillwater.
