Notes for Rebecca R. WILCOX
The 1860 Stillwater Minnesota census shows Rebecca living with her sister, Mary Ann, at age 17. See the Wilcox/ Wheeler 3- ring binder for more census report copies. John B. refers to the Wheeler property along the shores of Twin Lake being useful in the winter time when the lake would freeze over and furnish ice to keep food fresh. Also the farm land produced a bounty of wheat for market. Grandpa Wheeler would till fertile land on farm near the lake to raise potatoes, (also for sale) i recall from my childhood a relative remarking that Grandma Wheeler had edema.
