Aileen’s birth records show that she was a male child, born on 14th of Sept. 190l. She discovered this error when she applied for a copy of her birth certificate for social security records on her retirement. Up until then she was told she was born on Sept. 23, 1902. She was musically talented a gift from her mother. She drove the family car on the farm from early on and was helpful to us by delivering us and doing the shopping when needed. She was Dad’s right hand “man” everywhere on the farm. Another unusual plus is that Mother drove, which was handy when we wanted to borrow books from the library. I don’t remember who her pall bearers were.
