Notes for Raymond Francis RASEY
Uncle Blackie and Aunt Oretha met in Northfield, MN while attending Carleton College there. He would tell us about his company he was employed as an engineer in tunnel building through the Rocky Mountains. One crew beginning to blast open a way to lay R.R. tracks from one side while another crew drilled from the opposite side of the mountain, planning to meet dead center deep in the mountain. Of course they were successful doing this intricate task! Not only was he intelligent but also at the same time he was a very handsome gentlemen, with dark hair and very dark, warm eyes- plus a pleasing personality.
