Notes for Vera Tecla WILLETTS
March, 2004, Vera underwent surgery for cataract removal in her left eye in Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater. Need to check on date Vera moved to Boutwells Landing, Oak Park Heights. On file are notes referring to Vera’s sharing her love of music, teaching it and serving as organist in her church and other churches. Boutwell’s Landing’s Chaplain, Mr Howard Herringshaw officiated at the chapel and David Goulette was soloist accompanied by humself at the piano. Selections were “How Great Thou Art”, ‘It is Well With My Soul”, “In The Garden” and “I Would Be There”.On Saturday, April 20, 2007, Jason and Linda and family came to Stillwater to attend Vera’s burial of her ashes next to Wheeler’s gravesite. I regret having had a cold and was unable to join them.
