Per Hilga Judd Frier’s letter of January 6, 2007, the Thomas Judd history goes: Briefly, Thomas was born 1743, in Connecticut. About 1761 the government opened land in Vermont. In 1784, Thomas and family moved to Addison County, VT. Some other Judds left Vermont and
N.Y.in 1813 and moved to Ohio, where land there was available to Connecticut citizens of CT. The Vermont Judds settled in Panton, Addison Co. Other additions are posted in each Judd family here. Panton, Addison Co., Vermont was place of residency for the Thomas Judd family History there begins in 1784. Early settlers. Then the people began moving on to Canada (1812)The time of the onset of the War of 1812? Thomas died in Canada. Then Alexander and Artemus. it is very likely Thomas and Mary had more children than are listed here.
