The daughters and daughter in law gave Wayne a 80 year celebration of his birthday at their church in Eau Claire. It was a very memorable get to gether and many came from many miles to attend on 29th of February 2004. Soon after Wayne and Alice flew to Mesa to visit friends they made the winters they stayed in John and Cheryl’s double wide. In April Wayne returned to treatments to further fight his cancer until his passing on Friday, May 21st. Wayne had a woodshop in his basement at home and spent lots of time creating woodworking projects. Wayne’s Honorary pall bearers were: Sgt. Daniel Bertelson and Brandon Cummings. Remaining pallbearers were:Ryan Bertelson, Ross Seiffert, Matthew Rasmussen, Paul Deidrich, Jim Oleson and Chad Rasmussen.
