Notes for Charles Louis JENKINS
Red Wing, Minnesota was an early settled Mississippi River town and was noted for its Red Wing Pottery Company, Quaker Oats Cereal making, Red Wing Shoe Company, St. James Hotel, early ski jumping sport, Treasure Island Casino, its breath-taking view from Barn Hill of the vast valley below and poplular boating attractions. One Sunday afternoon Herb, his folks, and I made a visit to Bode and Eileen’s house in Red Wing and was given a very interesting tour of their home town. (Have a few black and white photos taken that day.} I didn’t mean to omit our children’s names who went along with us that day.
