Dorothea and Jane trained at Children’s Home Society t ogether (I think) Each of them found a place to practice their children’s nursing career as neighbors with their respective employers who lived In the Portland Ave. area near Summit and consequently the two families removed to Kenilworth, Illinois. Jane’s employers were working for the Skil Saw Company. At which time, Homer lived in Deerfield, Illinois a neighboring city to Kenilworth.
